A Wildflower

Somewhere in the backyard
Untended and unknown stands
a wildflower.
Somehow without watering or tending,
Beneath God’s sun and guidance thrives
a wildflower.
Sometimes yellow and red petals
Of intricate designs and numbers are on
a wildflower.
Someone, a lover of beauty
And freedom walks by and picks
a wildflower.
Some love grows and
Pressed in a book is
a wildflower.
