Film Noir

Kiss me deadly in the naked
City on sunset boulevard,
Said the third man to Gilda.
Dark shadows hiding darker
Hearts. Tales of men with guns,
Women without scruples.
Fatal moods of defeat,
Black and white images
Living for moments without
Tomorrows. Endings discontented,
At times, like life. Not
Just on celluloid, do bad
Guys wear knights’ armor.
Beyond a shadow of a doubt,
If the sun shines, it is
To cast light upon the base
Of humanity in a world unkind.
The stranger, D.O.A., was
In a lonely place, opposite
The wrong man with the touch
Of evil. Life is a narrow margin.
