Unlike Orchid Seeds

Words escape from lips,
Unretrievable, like the seeds
Of the black orchid in strong
Wind. At times regrettable,
Foolish, frivolous, contrived,
Unnecessary, without thought;
Requiring a response of great
Magnitude that bears not
The resemblance of flowers
Unborn, but rather weeds smothering
The course of good, killing beauty.
Better left unsaid, locked away,
Never to be released. Contemplation
Of leaving wordless, worthless words.

    Sounds like my own rage.

  2. This is an exciting read, am angry and almost violent outpouring, mega. I like the flow, the line that starts ‘At times regrettable,
    foolish, frivolous, contrived,
    unnecessary, without thought’
your restraint is commendable, though I am curious about what you refrain from saying, and that is the brilliance of this poem. I very much liked the last line too, ‘Contemplation
of leaving wordless, worthless words’. I say it again and again, out loud: ‘Wordless, worthless words.’ Shivers, pal, really, REALLY good. Thanks for this, loved it. *grins*, Baldy 🙂

    True words.. 🙂
