bankers demand green

Wait a minute…bankers demand green? Green lollipops…as in money? And the lollipops are suckers? And the lollipops, which are also called “suckers”, represent us, which means…and green is also the color associated with naivety…which means, bankers demand money from naive suckers…
I see what you did there. Is this bucket of candy in a bank for real? If it is, those bankers are really, really messed up, and this is one intensely clever piece of senryu. (Well, I mean, the senryu is clever whether or not the bucket of lollipops is in a bank).
Nicely done, Shainbird.
Hahaha! I love your discovery process Sahm, you remind me of a detective on the trail to solving the murder 🙂 yes that is real candy stationed behind the teller windows at Bank of America. I would love to have the nerve to ask if it is some sick joke. I wish that bucket was on the outside, then it would be game for a R.A.P. 🙂
If it’s a Bank of America…it’s probably not a joke. Sorry… I’ve had a bad experience with Bank of America, a long time ago, and of the mind that they should change their name to Bank of Hades and Horror.
Don’t be sorry, they are up there with dental visits for me.
Lol…bankers always think they’re something special…read Sahm’s comment, now that hadn’t occured to me! Good Senryu. semmingly so light hearted!..loved it
Thanks Georgia, ‘seemingly’ is right! I’m glad Sahm decided to explore the topic as I don’t know if the brevity of a senryu captured it. Ciao!
Yes…I’m sure it did…I’m a bit slow these days, that’s all.
Sometimes I wonder if my mind is ahead of my words and things don’t come across as they should. Georgia, I just read your sharp tanka!
