The Wild West

Two entities talking
Then stopping,
No compromise
By leaders unwise.
A mental shutdown
Played like a showdown
Upon the world stage –
America, acting her age.
A young, spoiled country
Still needs to be set free.

Another terrific and spot-on poem Shainbird!!!! If I had 10 thumbs, they’d all be pointing up!

Sounds like you really hit the mark. Excellent concise and powerful poem.

Perfectly done. The “America, acting her age” line is my favorite!

Lovely poem, I’ve just gotten flashes of the most recent crisis…but must admit the image “a yound spoiled country” seems to fit the bill quite nicely. Great job.
