Sovereign Thoughts – A Quatern

Clear thoughts by sovereignty proclaim
Over eyes, ears, parts, limbs and tongue
To stand high above mortal fame
And bring about a world unsung.

Ships of dreams and of fools set sail,
Clear thoughts by sovereignty proclaim
Human faculties become frail
Chasing rabbits to an endgame.

Beauty disembarks without blame
And youth withdraws to memory.
Clear thoughts by sovereignty proclaim
Urgency for philosophy.

The trek of imagination
Logs miles, bodies at rest remain.
Never abandon true station,
Clear thoughts by sovereignty proclaim.

Wow, this is one heck of a quatern! I love how you connect your ideas together and how you wove the refrain into each stanza. Fantastic job, Shainbird! 🙂
